Supply and allocation
In short There will only ever be 1,000,000,000 $LIA. Half, 500,000,000 $LIA, belongs to the community: the airdrop and every reward in Lia. A fifth funds the ecosystem and treasury, a fifth provides liquidity, and the team and founders and investors hold 5% each.
The allocation
| Share | Of the supply | $LIA | What it's for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Community, airdrop and rewards | 50% | 500,000,000 | Everything members earn in Lia, and the airdrop to their own wallets |
| Ecosystem and treasury | 20% | 200,000,000 | Grants, builders and investments that grow Lia |
| Liquidity | 20% | 200,000,000 | Markets for $LIA after listing |
| Team and founders | 5% | 50,000,000 | The people who build Lia and Lia Labs |
| Investors | 5% | 50,000,000 | Investors who back Lia Labs, such as Titian Labs |
| Total | 100% | 1,000,000,000 |
Why it's shared this way
The community comes first. Half of all $LIA goes to the people who use Lia. That is the largest share by far: five times what the team and founders and investors hold together.
Insiders hold a tenth. The team and founders and investors share 10% between them. Their stake keeps them invested in Lia's success, and it is small enough that the community, not insiders, holds most of $LIA.
Builders have their own share. Lia Labs exists to back what comes next. A fifth of the supply is kept for that work, so backing builders never has to come out of members' rewards.
Trading needs depth. If $LIA is listed, members who want to trade need a market that can take it. A fifth of the supply is kept for liquidity for that reason.
The five shares
Community, airdrop and rewards: 50%
500,000,000 $LIA. This share pays for everything members earn in Lia: mining, Strides, check-ins and the spin, tasks and quizzes, invites and teams and leaderboard prizes. It is also the share the airdrop sends to members' own wallets, one for one and all at once. Every $LIA a member earns comes from here, before the airdrop and after it.
Ecosystem and treasury: 20%
200,000,000 $LIA. This share funds grants and backing for teams building on Lia, and Lia Labs' investments in projects that bring members new things to be early to. It also funds the reward pools Lia gives apps to pay their players, and it is Lia Labs' treasury for the long work of growing the network. It is released in equal parts every month for 48 months from the airdrop. See Backing builders.
Liquidity: 20%
200,000,000 $LIA. Kept for markets for $LIA. It unlocks at listing and is used only for exchange liquidity, in liquidity pools and with market makers. It is never sold to members and never used for rewards. See Mainnet, listing and governance.
Team and founders: 5%
50,000,000 $LIA. For the people who build Lia and run Lia Labs. Nothing unlocks for the first 12 months after the airdrop, then it is released in equal parts every month for 36 months.
Investors: 5%
50,000,000 $LIA. For investors who back Lia Labs, such as Titian Labs, and others who join them. Nothing unlocks for the first 12 months after the airdrop, then it is released in equal parts every month for 24 months.
Unlock schedule
Every schedule starts at the airdrop, planned for Q4 2027, when $LIA goes live on BNB Smart Chain.
| Share | At the airdrop | Then |
|---|---|---|
| Community, airdrop and rewards | Members' earned $LIA, sent one for one and fully unlocked | Funds rewards in Lia, sent to members' wallets in regular drops |
| Ecosystem and treasury | 1/48 of the share | An equal part every month, 48 months in all |
| Liquidity | Locked until listing | Unlocked at listing, for exchange liquidity only |
| Team and founders | Nothing | Nothing for 12 months, then an equal part every month for 36 months |
| Investors | Nothing | Nothing for 12 months, then an equal part every month for 24 months |
The team and founders and investors receive nothing in the first year after the airdrop. By the time their first $LIA unlocks, members have held theirs for a year.
In circulation
At the airdrop, the $LIA in circulation is what members have earned, sent to their own wallets, plus the first month of the ecosystem and treasury share (about 4,166,667 $LIA). Liquidity joins at listing. Team and founders and investors add nothing until 12 months after the airdrop. The exact figure depends on how much members have earned by then, and Lia will show it in the app before the airdrop.
The token
$LIA is a standard BEP-20 token on BNB Smart Chain. All 1,000,000,000 $LIA are minted once, at launch, and minting is then switched off for good, so the supply can never grow. Shares that unlock over time are held in vesting contracts that release them on schedule. $LIA lives on BNB Smart Chain only; any other chain would come later and be announced in the app first.
Keeping rewards within the community share
The community's 500,000,000 $LIA is the budget for everything members earn. Lia Labs tracks what has been earned against it and sets reward rates so that it lasts for the long run. Rates change only when Lia Labs decides, announced in the app before they change, and never take back $LIA already earned.
Where spent $LIA goes
| What | Where it goes |
|---|---|
| Lia Labs' share of sales in apps | Back to the community share, for future rewards |
| The 5% kept from Lia XO pots | Back to the community share, for future rewards |
| Developers' share of sales | To the developer. See Payments |
| App reward pools | Funded from the ecosystem and treasury share |
So the $LIA members spend inside Lia comes back around to members as rewards.
