Safety and fairness
In short Lia never asks for your recovery phrase or keys, and there is nothing to buy. Chat is friends only. Rewards are counted on Lia's side and checked, so the people who really take part are the ones who earn.
Staying safe
- Your keys are yours. Lia will never ask for your recovery phrase or private keys, in the app, by message or anywhere else. Anyone who asks is not us.
- Nothing to buy. Lia is free. You earn $LIA by taking part, never by paying in.
- No strangers. Chat is friends only, so nobody you haven't added can reach you.
- Payments you can trust. Every payment happens on Lia's own pay sheet, with the price from Lia's records. See Payments.
- News comes from the app. Changes to rewards, the airdrop and the roadmap are announced in Lia first.
Keeping rewards fair
$LIA is only worth earning if everyone earns it the same way. Lia keeps it fair by:
- Counting on Lia's side. Mining sessions, rewards and balances are kept on Lia's servers, not on your phone.
- Checking what matters on a server. Apps confirm charges, rewards and watched videos with their secret keys, and game scores like Tilt Runner's are checked before they reach a board.
- Rewarding activity, not sign ups. Invites pay when friends actually mine. See Invites and teams.
- Limits. Daily caps on Strides, ad boosts and app reward pools keep any one source from running away.
- One person, one account. Accounts that cheat, such as several accounts run by one person, can lose their rewards and their place on the boards, and before the airdrop there are checks to keep it for real people.
Before the airdrop, Lia checks that each account belongs to one real, unique person. Accounts that fail don't receive the airdrop, and their $LIA stays in the community share for members' future rewards. See The airdrop.
Your data
Strides reads your step count and never your location. Apps you open in Lia get a name and an id for you, and only the parts of Lia the SDK offers them. What Lia collects and why is set out in Lia's privacy policy.
