Apps on Lia

In short Any web app can run inside Lia. One script tag adds the Lia SDK: players arrive signed in, can pay in $LIA on Lia's own pay sheet, invite friends, keep score and get notifications they asked for. Apps live in Lia's Apps Center, in front of a community that wants in early.

Why build on Lia

Most great apps die waiting for users. On Lia, they're already here.

Live in three steps

  1. Build your web app. Any framework, hosted anywhere. If it runs in a browser, it runs in Lia.
  2. Add the Lia SDK. One script tag. Sign in is done for you, and your server gets a token it can trust.
  3. Go live. Test with your own testers first. The Lia team reviews every app before it opens to everyone in the Apps Center.

What the SDK gives you

Part What it does
Sign in Every player arrives signed in, with a name and an id for your app.
Payments Lia's pay sheet shows the price from Lia's records and the balance after.
Invites A friend picker, and invite links that open your app right where you left it.
Notifications Only for people who say yes, with limits so nobody gets spammed.
Leaderboards Best scores and places, with no server of your own.
Ads Rewarded videos and videos between rounds, paced so they never get annoying. Developers get 50% of what the ads in their app earn.
Storage Cloud saves that follow a player to any phone, plus storage on the device.
Motion and haptics Tilt, shake and feel: the phone's sensors and vibration.
Sound Players mute your app from Lia's own menu, and your app hears about it.

Your app opens in the person's language, light or dark, with the safe areas of their phone, so it feels at home in Lia from day one.

Reward pools

Lia can fund a reward pool for an app, from the ecosystem and treasury share. The app's server pays players from it in $LIA, once per reward, within a daily limit set for that app. Reward pools let builders reward play without buying $LIA, and keep the total paid out under Lia Labs' control.

Trust, on the server

Sessions, charges and watched videos are all checked by the app's server with its secret key, so nothing important trusts the browser. Every app has test keys and its own testers, and can try everything with pretend $LIA before switching to live keys.

Notifications, never spam

Players choose whether an app may notify them, and Lia limits how often each app can. The people who say yes stay glad they did.

Note Developers sign up to the Lia developers dashboard to get their keys from Q1 2027, with the Lia SDK docs and the first apps from builders in the Apps Center. Until then, the Lia team sets apps up. See the Roadmap.
