Backing builders

In short Lia Labs backs teams building on Lia with funding, guidance and the tools to grow. The first teams are backed in Q2 2027, and grants for builders follow in Q4 2028.

#What backing means

• Grants in $LIA, from the ecosystem and treasury share, so a good team can build without worrying about the next month.
• Guidance on building for Lia's community, from the first version to launch.
• Tools, starting with the Lia SDK, the pay sheet and reward pools.
• Promotion, through the Apps Center, tasks and announcements in Lia.

#Who Lia Labs looks for

Teams with a clear idea that Lia's community would enjoy: games, tools and communities that run in a browser, and projects that give members something new to be early to. Teams apply by telling Lia Labs what they're building, and Lia Labs chooses who to back.

#Where the $LIA comes from

Backing builders has its own share of the supply. Ecosystem and treasury, 20%, or 200,000,000 $LIA, pays for grants, builders, app reward pools and Lia Labs' investments in projects that grow Lia. It is released in equal parts every month for 48 months from the airdrop. See Supply and allocation.
