# Abstract

> Lia is a free app where anyone can get in early on web3. People earn $LIA by mining, walking, checking in, playing and inviting friends. $LIA is earned, never bought. Its total supply is 1,000,000,000 $LIA on BNB Smart Chain, and it comes in two phases: first a balance in the app, then an airdrop to each member's own wallet.

Most people hear about the next big thing in web3 after it's already big. The early days, when taking part is easy and the upside is real, tend to belong to a small group who already know where to look. Lia Labs exists to change that.

Lia Labs is a global web3 company. It builds **Lia**, an app anyone can use in their own language to take part early, and it backs the **builders** creating what comes next, so there is always something new to be early to. The people who show up first are rewarded with **$LIA**, the token of Lia Labs.

This paper sets out how that works:

- **The Lia app.** Mining sessions of 8 hours at 5 LIA an hour, Strides for walking, a daily check-in with streaks, a daily spin, tasks and quizzes, invites and leaderboards, friends only chat and games. See [The Lia app](./the-app) and [Mining](./mining).
- **Builders.** Web apps run inside Lia with the Lia SDK, take payments in $LIA on Lia's own pay sheet and can be funded by Lia Labs. See [Apps on Lia](./apps-on-lia).
- **$LIA.** A fixed supply of 1,000,000,000 $LIA on BNB Smart Chain, earned in a mining phase and then sent to members' own wallets in the airdrop. > In the airdrop, planned for Q4 2027, every real, unique member receives the $LIA they earned, one for one, fully unlocked, with the network fee paid by Lia Labs.
