# Strides, check-ins and the spin

> **In short**
> Strides pays up to 500 LIA a day for walking. The daily check-in pays 20 to 120 LIA, double on weekends, with streak milestones up to 25,000 LIA. The daily spin pays up to 50 LIA, and tasks and quizzes pay 10 to 50 LIA each.

## Strides

![Strides: a week of steps, and the $LIA today's steps have earned.](ui:steps)

Strides turns the steps you already take into $LIA. Turn it on, and Lia reads your step count, and nothing else: never your location.

- **25 LIA for every 1,000 steps**, up to 20,000 steps, so **up to 500 LIA a day**.
- **Claim before midnight.** Each day's steps are claimed in the app before the day ends, or they reset.
- **The walkers board.** Every week the top 10 walkers among everyone win $LIA, paid when the week ends.
- Your steps also speed up your mining. See [Mining](./mining#your-speed).

## The daily check-in

![A check-in streak, with today's reward waiting.](ui:streak)

Open Lia and check in once a day. Each day of the week pays more than the last, and Saturdays and Sundays pay double.

| Day of your week | 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7 |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| LIA | 20 | 30 | 40 | 50 | 60 | 80 | 120 |

### Streak milestones

Check in day after day and your streak grows. Each milestone pays once, all the way to a full year.

| Streak | Reward | Streak | Reward |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| 2 days | 12.5 LIA | 45 days | 1,750 LIA |
| 3 days | 25 LIA | 60 days | 2,500 LIA |
| 5 days | 50 LIA | 90 days | 4,000 LIA |
| 7 days | 125 LIA | 120 days | 6,000 LIA |
| 10 days | 200 LIA | 180 days | 10,000 LIA |
| 14 days | 300 LIA | 270 days | 17,500 LIA |
| 21 days | 500 LIA | 365 days | 25,000 LIA |
| 30 days | 1,000 LIA | | |

### The weekly streak save

Life happens. Once a week, Lia lets you save a streak you would otherwise have lost, so one missed day doesn't undo months of showing up.

## The daily spin

![The daily spin, and a prize landing.](ui:spin)

One free spin a day, for up to 50 LIA. Smaller prizes come up more often and the big one is rare, and the wheel shows every prize before you spin.

## Tasks and quizzes

Daily tasks, social tasks and short quizzes pay **10 to 50 LIA each**. They are how members learn about Lia, about web3 and about the projects Lia Labs backs, and they change often.

> **Note**
> Amounts here are today's settings. Lia Labs can change them as the community grows, and announces changes in the app first.
